If You Love Friday, You Gotta Read This!

Hello and Happy Friday!

***FRIDAY***  I get excited just typing the word!  Why does Friday make us so happy??  Because it’s the word that puts a pep in our step and reminds us that the weekend is near!  We know that once we’ve made it to Friday, we are less than 24 hours from  a break from everything that weighed us down all week.

What if I told you that a life lived in the Presence of God makes every day like  Friday?  I know-it sounds crazy, but it’s true!   It’s so refreshing and every day it  proves that whatever tried to take you out the day before was a lie and that it failed!   You’re still here, you made it and you have a whole new day ahead of you.  It’s like a re-do, a total reset.

Life in this corrupt world has the potential to sap every last ounce of our happiness.  Sometimes it seems like arrows are coming towards us from every angle.  In our marriage, with our kids, our jobs and in our minds.  If you’ll notice, they are usually aimed straight for our weakest area or an area that provokes fear.  That’s because these arrows are drawn and strategically aimed to have the most impact.

The devil thinks he’s smart, but I have good news!  When you become a child of God, you gain access to everything that Jesus died for – all day, every day access!  When you say ‘Yes’ to Jesus, the windows of heaven literally open over you and you are put in position to receive all the blessings of heaven, forever!  The key to actually experiencing it though is slowing down long enough to not only see the blessings, but to be able to rest in them.

The astounding thing is that God is always ready with the perfect anecdote for whatever our affliction is.  Like a daddy that has all the answers, he’s got our back!  Jesus didn’t die just to save us just from hell but to give us victory over the daily onslaught hell will bring against us until the day we die.  I know that sounds daunting, but keep reading…  God wants us to live a life of abundance and freedom and he made that possible through Jesus!

Get this vision in your head and remember it the next time you feel overwhelmed.  When you accepted salvation and became a child of God, he stamped you.  And that stamp says,  “This one is MINE”.  From that moment forward your protection and provision were set into place.  I don’t know about you, but the thought of that puts a big smile on my face!  I. Am. His. Yes, that is amazing!!

I have a few points to drive home today and I couldn’t say it any better than these scriptures do.  Read them, believe them and stand on them because the Word of God is alive and is forever.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.  {have overcome-past tense}

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”  {hell can form weapons against us all day long, but they will NOT prosper!}

Deuteronomy 1:30 “The LORD your God, who goes before you will himself fight for you” {Let me get the straight… God-the creator and Savior of the world, the One that has already overcome the world, goes before me and will fight for me???  Oh heck YES!!!}

Psalm 16:11 “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. {fullness of joy? pleasures forevermore? Count me in!}

Are you getting the picture??  Nothing, not one thing the enemy tries to hit you with has ‘a chance in hell’ of taking you out!  (PUN INTENDED! HaHa!)  So do you see?  It’s true!  Every day CAN be like Friday, as long as  you’re looking at the big picture.  Don’t fall for the trick of focusing on a tiny negative.  Turn your eyes to the Maker of heaven and earth and remember, YOU are His! I can’t think of anything better than that!

Ok, let’s wrap this up.  I know your weekend is probably jam packed with stuff already, but I want to encourage you, carve in some ‘Presence’ time.  Set everything else aside for a few minutes and sit with Jesus.  He’s eagerly waiting for you, his Bride.

I love you all and hope you felt the hug from heaven with this one!  Have a blessed day and we will talk again soon!

XOXOXO, polly

    Sorry ! Just now reading Friday. As I sit and read this God knows just what I am dealing with! My sister in law on my husband side tries so hard to get under my skin! I pray for that side all the time! Long story but I want go there ! I have a hard time dealing with that ! I have forgiven them a lot but when she post amen this is so true! It doesn’t matter how many Sundays you sit in church or if you think you are saved. God see what you do and how you treat people . That’s what really matters. I so know that this is the devil trying to break my shield of armor. Please say a prayer for me in dealing and knowing how to handle this!
