Virtual Footprints

Heyyyyy!  How’s everybody doing today???

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about social media and how it has made it possible for all of us to have a platform, a way to share our thoughts and feelings with literally the world.  I believe that as Christians we have a responsibility to partner with what God says.  To speak life, love and hope into the lives of others.  We have to guard ourselves from getting caught up in the negatives of life because once that becomes our focus, that will be the voice that flows from us.

Of course we will be faced with heartbreak, but we can’t allow those things to poison the peace we received when we accepted Jesus as our Savior.  Proverbs 4:23 says it perfectly, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”  We must learn to recognize the voice of the enemy and immediately cast down any thought that opposes the Word of God.  If we don’t, we are putting ourselves at risk of a seed being planted that will produce rotten fruit-fruit that will poison us and everyone around us.

Matthew 5:14 says, “You are the light of the world, a city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on it’s stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify the Father in heaven.”  Our lives-real and virtual-should point people toward heaven so let’s keep our eyes on Jesus and make it our focus to be imitators of Him. THEN we will truly be a light to everyone around us. God has given all of us a sphere of influence, let’s use it wisely.

What are your thoughts? How do you use your platform?  Let’s chat!

Love and Hugs, XOXOXO!
