God taught me the importance of praying scriptures a long time ago. To apply His words to our life will bring dead things to life and line our thoughts up with His thoughts. This one thing holds so much power! It’s pretty simple, when I’m struggling with something, I search the scriptures for answers and I pray. Then by the leading of the Holy Spirit, I write out a prayer that goes with the scriptures so that when I pray I’ll be praying God’s Word over that specific thing. Then sometimes a passage of scripture will speak to me and I know that applying it to my life would make needed changes so I do the same thing. Isaiah 55:11 says that God’s Word will not come back void but that it will accomplish what it set out to do! Feel free to print and use the prayers I have written and use them! Don’t give up until you’ve prayed God’s Word over it! |
Lord Jesus, it is my heart’s desire to know you and to please you. You are high and exalted and Your Name is holy. Thank you for taking time to sit with me on the mountainside and teach me your ways. I am listening and I want to learn. These are the keys to the Kingdom and I will use them to unlock the promises of God. I pray that as I walk in Your likeness, I will be a light, shining in the darkness. Because I choose to obey, I will be blessed with hope and joy.
I pray in Your name, that I will be poor in spirit, humble and meek. I will be merciful and make peace wherever I go. I hunger and thirst for righteousness and it is my desire that my heart stays pure before you, Lord. When I mourn, Your Spirit will comfort me and when I am persecuted for Your name’s sake, I will remember that because of it, the Kingdom of heaven is mine! Hallelujah!
Amen!
