{Update!} Trusting God and Moving Forward in More Ways Than One

To say that the last few weeks of my life have been hectic would be a huge understatement!  We blazed a trail from Tampa to Louisiana and back, then to Texas, back to Tampa, to Key West and back again.  Whew!  It took 3 days for me to catch up and get things back in order.  The crazy thing is, we will be back on the road again next week…eaaaaaaak!

We are moving to Round Rock, Texas for Mike’s next job project.  I’m excited about it but will be glad once we are all settled.  I don’t know about you, but I thrive on routine.  I’ve learned though that sometimes God likes to shake things up to give us a chance to trust him and to grow.

We had planned not to do any more travel work for a while but we felt strongly that God was leading us to Texas, so we are following his lead and can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.  Not knowing what the future holds, we’ve found peace in this scripture:  Psalm 37:23(tPt) “The steps of the God-pursuing ones follow firmly in the footsteps of the Lord.  And God delights in every step they take to follow him.”

I’m looking forward to the new things that this season will bring.  Recently, I took over the Pink Incense Instagram page and went live every day for a week to share what God put on my heart for the women that would be watching.  The idea of doing LIVE videos scared me to death but I made a promise to Jesus that I would do whatever he asks me to, so I kind of had to, lol.  To say that I was stepping out of my comfort zone doesn’t even halfway cover it!  But I found that a quote I read a long time ago is so true!  “When we step out of our comfort zone, we are stepping into God’s”

When he calls us to do something, he will absolutely give us everything we need to accomplish it and then will saturate it with his Presence.  That’s exactly what he did.  His Super met my natural in an amazing way.  It not only stretched me beyond what I thought I was capable of, but he also used it to minister to people that I don’t even know. I said all of  that to say this, if you feel God tugging on your heart to step out and do something for Him, DO IT!  Give him the chance and he will blow your mind!

Now that I’ve tackled live videos, I’m praying about doing more of them on my own page, in addition to blogging.  There’s something about that real-time interaction that connects hearts and allows the Spirit of God to move.  So, be watching for that!  I’m humbled that he’s put me in a place of influence, and that he is making streams in my wasteland!  So, here’s to ALL THINGS NEW!

Isaiah 43:19(NIV) “See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

To celebrate our time in Florida, I’m hosting a GIVEAWAY on Instagram.  I’ve partnered with Bubble Fish Soap, a company based in Fort Myers that makes Sanibel Island Inspired perfumes, sugar scrubs, creams and soaps.  I use and love their products so I thought it would be fun to gift a few of you with some goodies before we leave Tampa.  Make sure you get in on the chance to win, and register here by 12 Noon CST this Saturday, August 5th!

Ok, I’m off to pack now!  The next time you hear from me, I’ll be writing from the Lone Star State!  We will only be there for about 6 months so we want to make the best of it.  Do you have any must see/do/try ideas for us?  I’ve already been contacted by 2 people letting me know about churches local to Round Rock, so I’m definitely looking forward to making connections there!  Talk to you, soon!

I have not been paid by Bubble Fish Soap, we have collaborated to do the giveaway.
