God On Repeat

I am writing from the road today!  We spent the weekend at home in Louisiana and are now headed back to Tampa. We went home for our nephew’s wedding, and it was spectacular!  It was at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, Louisiana.  You gotta check it out!  {https://www.thewhitemagnolia.net } It’s a huge farm with rolling hills, cattle, the whole nine yards.  The wedding was outside at sunset and the reception was inside the “barn”.  Talk about beautiful!  I’m so glad we were there to experience it with them.

Ok, on to the topic…I was just chatting with a friend about the faithfulness of God.  That’s a pretty broad description I know, because He’s faithful in so many ways but today I’m talking about confirmations. When we seek the Lord and listen for His leading, then take the necessary steps of faith, He will always confirm to us that we are headed in the right direction!  I like to think of it as God dropping sweet little marshmallows on our path to keep us going and let us know we’re right where he wants us.

The creativity of God shines so bright when it comes to this because He speaks to us in so many ways!  Dreams, road signs, songs, scriptures, an encouraging and on time word from a friend.  The possibilities are endless. Sometimes subtle, sometimes bold…I’ve learned not to box Him in!  And the cool thing about confirmations is that there are usually several for each season.

This is proof that He’s actively engaged in our lives, even when we don’t feel like He’s there. And like a good Father, He gives us room to grow but never leaves us alone.  His Presence is invaluable to me because my earthly father isn’t here anymore.  I miss him more than I can say. But God takes such perfect care of me and I know that one day I’ll see my Dad again! Until then, you’ll find me walking hand in hand with my Papa, the Creator of the universe, looking for my marshmallows!

Do you experience this kind of intimacy with God?  If you can’t relate to it, I hope you’ll search it out!  He loves you and wants to walk with you, too!  And because He goes before you, He knows right where to lead you.  This is where you will find peace and hope, the anchor of our souls.

Deuteronomy 7:9  Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations (Hallelujah!)

Have you ever experienced #GodOnRepeat ?  What’s the most interesting way He’s spoken to you?
