Hope Really Does Anchor the Soul

Hope Really Does Anchor the Soul

Hi Beautiful!

I’m back again today, still pondering my post from yesterday.  I really want to drive the point home that there is purpose where you are right now and that God has not and will not leave you alone.  He weaves opportunity into every trial we face, knowing that if we trust Him, we will grow.

In my bible reading this morning, Paul was talking about present suffering and future glory. We are guaranteed adversity in this life.  I know that’s not what you want to hear but think about it this way…our sufferings here make us long for heaven and that keeps us looking up.  We were created with a void that only God can fill.  If life was always a bed of roses, would we seek Him the way we do when we’re hurting?  Probably not.  Pain is allowed so that we will keep our eyes on Him and His promises.

Romans 8:24-25 says, “For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

I don’t know about you, but for me it seems like life is a repetitive cycle of me putting my “Moses” in the basket and into the river.  It’s scary, but something happens inside me when I take that leap of faith. Hope rises up and then I can wait with patience!  Do you see the connection?  God does not want us trying to do life without Him. He has it all figured out and if we would just submit to the plan and work with Him instead of against Him, we would push through life’s challenges so much faster.  AND have a new testimony to share when it’s over!

That’s what it’s all about…the ripple effects.  God wouldn’t have us walk through the valley just for us to learn a lesson.  He’s thinking ahead for ways He can use that lesson through us to help someone else.   What better way to introduce someone to God’s love than being able to understand their struggle and share  your own story of pain and victory?   Moments of exhaustion open us up to surrender and when that happens….ohhhhhh hallelujah, the breakthrough is near!

Remember, it’s bigger than us, and there is always purpose in the pain.  Keep your eyes on what is unseen.  Grab onto God’s hand and start walking, especially when you can’t see two feet in front of you! {That’s faith and faith pleases God}

If you’re in a season like this, know that God will drench you in grace and plant hope deep into your heart, all you have to do is ask.

Until next time 🙂 xoxoxo,
